The medieval castle of Vêves stands erected as a proud sentinel of history, a few kilometres from Dinant, in Celles, one of the Most Beautiful Villages of Wallonia.
Day by day this superb fortress, of which the oldest parts date from the beginning of the 13th century, takes more roots in the present and the future by involving, among others, tourist partners from Dinant to create programmes for original visits.
This day out in the fairytale Ardennes one of these common initiatives. This magical day in the Ardennes is a discovery day meant for groups of min. 20 persons:
10 a.m. : welcome and coffee at L'Auberge de la Lesse and guided tour at the castle of Sleeping Beauty
noon : 3-course breakfast at L'Auberge de la Lesse
14.30 15.00 hrs : getting a good dose of panoramas of magnificent sites of the Mosan valley, such as the gardens or the rocks of Freÿr
15.15 hrs : crossing of the Meuse at Hastière, near the millennial abbey church
15.30 hrs : arrival at Freÿr and guided visit of the castle and the gardens, a bit of Versailles in an elegant green shrine
17.30 hrs : end of the programme, free visit to the city of Dinant, offspring of the Meuse river
